Outlander locations near Glen Clova

Kinclaven Bluebell Woods
Kinclaven Bluebell Wood appeared in series 4 as the backdrop for Frasers’ Ridge in North Carolina. Look out for the distinctive “witness trees” that feature in those scenes.
The Hermitage
The Perthshire forest area known as The Hermitage was a filming location during series 5 of Outlander. A magical place to visit with some of the tallest trees in Britain.
The Reaper
The Scottish Fisheries Museum in Anstruther is home to The Reaper. This restored Fifie sailing herring drifter took main characters Jamie and Claire to France at the end of series 1.
Falkland
Falkland village stood in for the city of Inverness in series 1 and 2. One of the cellars in Falkland Palace also appears in Season 2, as an apothecary. An interactive exhibit has now been installed within the cellar for visitors to explore.
Faskally Forest
Faskally Forest near Pitlochry was transformed into a Native American village, for parts of series 4 set in North America. There are plenty of lovely walking trails to enjoy here.
Tibbermore Church
Tibbermore Church became the courtroom for a witch trial during series 1. If you wish to visit the church, please note that access must be arranged in advance. Contact the church for more information.
