Glen Clova Hotel in Scotland is an ideal base for a wide variety of activities, including simulated clay pigeon shooting. We can arrange an action-packed group activity on site for you with our gameskeeper. This is a brilliant activity whether you are a beginner or an experienced shooter. It requires skill, timing and coordination. Put your shooting skills to the test in the beautiful Scottish countryside, by using your dexterity and precision to hit clay targets as they fly through the air. For our guests in the hotel and lodges, we can arrange a simulation clay pigeon shooting event hosted by our on site gamekeeper. We require a minimum group size of 4 people. Under supervision and guidance, our gamekeeper will show you how to handle the equipment safely. They’ll advise you on your stance and aim and show you the best way to track the clay as it travels across the sky. Then the fun starts as you and your group see how many clays you can hit. The remaining balance will be invoiced to you and the remaining payment will be due no later than 7 days ahead of the shoot. We stayed in one of the one bedroom lodges with hot tub, it was absolutely amazing. The lodge was absolutely stunning, spotless and perfect in every way, from the hot tub, the sauna in the en suite and the log burning stove not to mention possibly the comfiest bed I have slept in for a very long time. The bar is small but lovely, it’s quaint and has a homely warm atmosphere and you can’t fault the staff at all who all had a great humour and nothing was too much to ask. We unfortunately didn’t get a chance to try the food but that leaves the perfect excuse to go again.
Please note our opening hours from w/c 27th January will be as follows:
Mon-Friday – Takeaway filled rolls, teas/coffees – 8am-11am then Dinner (pre-bookings only) from 4pm onwards.
Sat/Sun will be takeaway filled rolls, teas/coffees – 8am-10am then daily service (pre-bookings advised) from 12.30pm onwards.
Please also note that on Wednesday 29th January the hotel will be closed due to staff training.
Our hotel will also be closed for our annual maintenance from Monday 17th February through to Wednesday 12th March. The hotel, restaurant and bar will be closed during this period, however our lodges will remain open.
