Corrie Fee in the Angus Glens of Scotland is a striking natural amphitheatre, sculpted by glaciers during the Ice Age. Nestled within Glen Clova and part of the Cairngorms National Park, it is a great walk to do during a stay with us. The corrie features steep cliffs and sweeping slopes, making it a dramatic and picturesque example of glacial erosion. Walkers can explore the area via well-marked trails, including a popular route with views of the breathtaking Corrie Fee waterfall.
Follow this walking route for a dramatic Corrie Fee walk. The route starts at the Glen Doll car park, which is just a 10-minute drive from our hotel and lodges. It takes you along a good path to a wonderful viewpoint at the foot of the corrie. You can then extend the walk through the corrie and climb to the waterfall at the back if you wish. The extra walk to the waterfall is steep and rocky, but you’ll be rewarded with magnificent views if you choose to take it on.
Corrie Fee is a designated National Nature Reserve, home to several rare alpine and arctic plants that have adapted to the mountain environment. It is one of the largest natural areas of montane willow scrub in the country, supporting a diverse range of species. The site is a favourite among wildlife watchers, with chances to spot golden eagles, red deer and peregrine falcons.
Corrie Fee is a truly unique place to visit. This bowl-shaped hollow in the mountainside formed many thousands of years ago, carved by prolonged glacial activity. From its diverse wildlife to its rare plants, which thrive in the dramatic mountainous conditions, this is a walk you’ll never forget.

Had the most amazing and romantic stays with my partner for our first holiday! Lodges were amazing and staff down at the hotel were really accommodating! hot tubs were so nice and felt very private! Has amazing views and such nice walks just behind the lodges and also the two Munros down the road ! Went to the hotel for one night for our final meal and it was super yummy!!!! Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back !!!

Sat/Sun will be takeaway filled rolls, teas/coffees – 8am-10am then daily service (pre-bookings advised) from 12.30pm onwards.
Please also note that on Wednesday 29th January the hotel will be closed due to staff training.
Our hotel will also be closed for our annual maintenance from Monday 17th February through to Wednesday 12th March. The hotel, restaurant and bar will be closed during this period, however our lodges will remain open.
