There’s nothing better than getting out cycling into the Angus Glens. Plenty of fresh air, beautiful scenery and miles and miles of space. Throughout the Angus Glens there are a wide variety of cycling routes. From short, reasonably flat road cycles to all-day trails up in the hills for advanced cyclists. Glen Clova and its neighbouring glens have plenty of great paths, which weave in and out of the landscape. Heading out for the day

As with walking and climbing, safety is of utmost importance for cyclists. We can provide you with details of paths to take but you must ensure that you have the experience needed to cycle with confidence. If you’re heading out for the day, we can arrange a packed lunch for you. We can also arrange cycle tours and bike hire for our guests, through one of our partners. Please find the details below. And after a day’s cycling, come and relax in our rustic Climber’s Bar, where you can enjoy a well-earned drink and chat with other outdoor enthusiasts.

Glen Clova cycling tours

If you are visiting us from afar but would like to cycle, we can arrange tours for residents of our hotel and lodges with bikes and all safety equipment through one of our local partners. Cycling along with our British Cycling MTB Level 2/TCL Instructor, you will be guided through the beautiful Angus Glens. Both intermediate and advanced levels are catered for, but cyclists must be fit and able to undertake a full-day cycle. This must be booked in advance and is subject to availability. OPENING HOURS NOTICE

Please note our opening hours from w/c 27th January will be as follows:

Mon-Friday – Takeaway filled rolls, teas/coffees – 8am-11am then Dinner (pre-bookings only) from 4pm onwards.

Sat/Sun will be takeaway filled rolls, teas/coffees – 8am-10am then daily service (pre-bookings advised) from 12.30pm onwards.

Please also note that on Wednesday 29th January the hotel will be closed due to staff training.

Our hotel will also be closed for our annual maintenance from Monday 17th February through to Wednesday 12th March. The hotel, restaurant and bar will be closed during this period, however our lodges will remain open.
