We’ll create a wedding reception especially for you and your partner. We’ll do our utmost to turn the special touches you envisage into reality. Weekend weddings are our most popular. During the main wedding season (April to October) we require a minimum of 70 daytime guests and in the winter months (November to March) we require a minimum of 50 daytime guests for a Friday, Saturday or Sunday wedding. Over the past few years, midweek weddings have become increasingly popular. The availability of both our venue and the suppliers that you may wish to use is much greater. Especially if you are looking at a summer wedding, you might want to get married on the anniversary of the day you first met or another special date, which may fall on a weekday. Midweek weddings are also ideal for a smaller wedding reception or for a last-minute wedding. We can offer a range of options from an intimate sit-down meal with select family and friends to a larger party with dancing through the evening. There is no minimum amount of guests for a midweek wedding.
If you want an intimate wedding then the location of Glen Clova is perfect with everything on your doorstep. You can choose to have your ceremony in the nearby kirk with a small family celebration at the hotel afterwards. Or why not head off to the hills for the day and say your vows at Corrie Fee with just your nearest and dearest with you? We can pack you a champagne picnic. Or if you’re staying in one of our lodges, we can set up a banquet for you in your own private dining area.
Scotland is a beautiful country to get married in. If you are coming from abroad, you can legally get married in Scotland as long as you have a marriage visitors visa and a licence. Unlike elsewhere in the UK, in Scotland, you can get married in a church, a hotel, outdoors or in fact anywhere you like. This place is heaven. We stayed in Corrie Lodge and were delighted to find a proper sauna as well as a hot tub waiting for us. The lodge itself is beautifully appointed and well equipped. Roaring modern fire that lights so quickly, made each evening so cosy. Underfloor heating meant we were kept warm all night after days exploring the incredible walks and snow sledding with our girls. I am going to miss waking up to this place, inner peace is waiting for you. The bar and restaurant serves really yummy breakfast, lunch and dinner, the staff were so welcoming and in particular to our small girls – they have had a blast and been spoilt happy. They even made the 10 mile hike to Corrie Fee which is incredible, it was snow covered and Disney-esque. Thank you Glen Clova, it has been a dream.
